PROMOCON team at the 23th International Conference on Nursing Ethics on 14th and 15th July in Genoa (Italy)
On the 14th and 15th of July 2023, the Academy of Nursing, University of Exeter, in collaboration with Prof. Annamaria Bagnasco, Department of Health Sciences, University of Genoa, and Prof. Ann Gallagher, Editor-in-Chief, together with the international Editorial Board of the journal Nursing Ethics, have organized a two-days conference in Genoa, Italy, entitled "Thirty Years of Nursing Ethics: Looking Back, Looking Forward".
Some members of the PROMOCON project team will have the pleasure to participate during a symposium organized in the parallel session foreseen on 14th July 2023 at 11:30 and present some abstracts related to the project. In particular, prof. Alvisa Palese, University of Udine, Italy, will introduce the PROmoting a MOrally COmpetent Nurse project, while dr. Georgios Efstathiou, Minister of Health, Cyprus will present the results of the comparative analysis of the curricula of ethic teaching among six countries. Moreover, dr. Johanna Wiisak, University of Turku, Finland, will present the review regarding interventions to promote moral competencies in nurses and nursing students, while dr. Stefania Chiappinotto and dr. Jessica Longhini, University of Udine, Italy, will present the instruments to assess moral competencies in nursing field. Finally, prof. Riitta Suhonen, University of Turku, Finland, will conclude with the description of the profile of a moral competent nurse.
